Master of Arts and Sciences of Architecture


Alp Evrenol was born in Ankara and has received his high school diploma from Robert College in Istanbul.
He continued his studies at the engineering department of the same institution from where, after two years,
he transferred to the University of Stuttgart in Germany. He received his graduate degree in 1969 from this
institution. Evrenol became an assistant in The Architecture Faculty of Stuttgart University and conducted
studies on the "logic of aesthetics" together with Prof. Dr. Juergen Joedicke of the experimental planning
department . His proposal regarding the Esslingen settlement area was found successful and put into
practice. He worked in the preparation of the experimental Nurnberg Gesamtschule project together with
associate Prof. Dr. Höffler and Dr. Kandell and as a consultant and evaluator for the Nurnberg state administration.

He also worked as a resident architect and supervisor in collaboration with Prof. Hans Gutbord of the Design
Department of Stuttgart University, on the Mecca hotel and conference center project and construction in
Saudi Arabia. Between the years 1979-1990, he established Mimarlar A.Ş. where he worked as manager,
designer and completed several projects and buildings. Starting 1990, he is working designer and manager
of Workshop Mimarlar ltd. Group.
